Stallions' First Foals: Bucchero

The first foal by Bucchero, a filly, was born Jan. 14 at Golden Legacy Stables in Ocala

Bucchero (Kantharos), a two-time winner of the GII Woodford S. who covered a book of 130 mares in his first year at stud at Pleasant Acres Stallions in Morriston, Florida, sired his first foal when Goldenlegacy'shope (Warrior's Reward) produced a filly at Golden Legacy Stables in Ocala Jan. 14.

• “She was born very alert, good bone, very correct, good balance and beautiful,” said Golden Legacy's Blaz Perez.

• The first son to stud of Kantharos, Bucchero remains at $5,000 for the 2020 breeding season. The “Loyalty Lock-In Program–Breed Twice, Lock In the Price” incentive was announced earlier this week by Bucchero Stallion LLC Managing Partner Harlan Malter.
